<p>The Western Australian Shipbuilders' Association Inc was incorporated in 1996 to:
- Represent and promote the interests of the shipbuilding industry, and those companies and individuals who support the shipbuilders by means of providing goods and services for the industry</p>
<p>- Act as a united body in the interests of all members and for the purpose of assisting and supporting members in all matters relevant to the industry
- Provide members with a Code of Professional Standards as a guide to good business practise, community interaction and to encourage training and employment within the shipbuilding industry
- Continue to meet the needs and developments of its members in matters relating to the shipbuilding industry</p>
